Passionate About Wool

Donegal Yarn is influenced by the surrounding green valleys and hills flecked with grey and white granite stones of the landscape, the vibrant yellow of gorse blooms in Spring, the pink, purple and blue hues of Heather in summer, Autumn golden glows and the vibrant red Rowan and Holly berries of Winter.

Handcrafted With Love

This unique wool is spun in County Donegal in one of the few remaining Wool Spinning Mills in Ireland. The yarn is made by skilled artisans of a base blend of up to six individual colours, with a seven or eight contrasting wool flecks, (neps) dotted along the surface of the yarn.
